Membership Terms & Conditions

These Terms explain how WightTricks Academy memberships work, what your membership includes, how payments relate to the annual coaching programme, and the main rules around attendance, reserved class places, replacement sessions, cancellations and refunds.

Membership at a glance

Membership secures a reserved place within a 47-week coached programme, paid as 12 equal monthly instalments. It is not a pay-per-session arrangement.

1. Membership options & prices

From 1 September 2026, the WightTricks membership structure is:

  • Bronze - £46.50 per month. One regular class per week; one reserved regular weekly class place.
  • Silver - £82 per month. Two regular classes per week; two reserved regular weekly class places.
  • Gold - £110 per month. Three regular classes per week; three reserved regular weekly class places.
  • Performance - £125 per month. Up to four approved training days per week; invitation only, with approval, pathway and capacity conditions.

Performance membership

Performance is a limited, invitation-only pathway for approved Competition Team / Talent Group athletes. Competition Team and Talent Group sessions count within the maximum training allowance. Access remains subject to coaching approval, athlete suitability and available capacity.

2. How your monthly payment works

WightTricks operates a 47-week coached programme each year, with five scheduled closure weeks.

Your monthly membership fee is an equal instalment towards the cost of the full annual programme. It is not a purchase of a fixed number of individual classes within that calendar month.

Because calendar months contain different numbers of training days and scheduled closure weeks, one month may contain more or fewer sessions than another. The monthly fee remains the same because the annual programme cost has already been spread evenly across all 12 months.

The five scheduled closure weeks are built into the 47-week programme and the membership price. They therefore do not create additional refunds, replacement sessions or account credit.

Annual membership fee

A separate £20 annual WightTricks membership fee applies in addition to the monthly coaching membership. This annual fee is due and renews on 1 January each year.

3. What your membership includes

An active WightTricks membership provides access to the ongoing academy programme, including:

  • A reserved regular place in the class or classes covered by your membership level.
  • 47 coached programme weeks across the year.
  • Structured coaching and progression within the WightTricks programme.
  • Access to WightTricks' dedicated training facility and the equipment used within your scheduled classes.
  • Coaching from the WightTricks team appropriate to the class, level and programme.
  • Access to the replacement-session system, subject to these Terms and the full Attendance & Replacement Session Policy.
  • Ongoing programme development, class planning and progression rather than a session-by-session or drop-in service.

Not automatically included: private lessons, camps, competitions, events, additional training sessions, merchandise and other separately advertised services are charged separately unless WightTricks expressly states that they are included in a particular membership.

4. Reserved class places

Your active membership secures the student's regular place in the class or classes attached to that membership, subject to the student remaining suitable for the relevant age, level and programme.

The membership secures ongoing programme access and a reserved class place. Individual absences do not reduce the monthly fee.

WightTricks may make reasonable changes to a student's class or group where needed for safety, age, ability, progression, staffing or the effective delivery of the programme. Where a change materially affects the student's regular arrangement, WightTricks will communicate this and, where appropriate, work with the account holder to identify a suitable alternative.

5. Attendance & replacement sessions

If a student misses their normal class, the monthly membership payment remains unchanged. A missed class does not become a cash credit.

Where an appropriate class has suitable space, WightTricks may allow the student to attend a replacement session. This system is provided as a benefit of active membership and is not a guaranteed entitlement to another specific class. A specific time, day, class or coach cannot be guaranteed.

Replacement sessions must be arranged through the WightTricks booking process in advance, must be used within eight weeks of the original missed session, and are available only while the student's membership remains active.

Replacement sessions do not represent money owed by WightTricks. They are not transferable, cannot be exchanged for cash, and cannot be offset against future membership payments.

6. Cancelling or downgrading membership

Membership continues until it is cancelled through WightTricks' published cancellation process. The final notice period is being confirmed by WightTricks and will be stated clearly here before it applies.

When a membership ends, the student's reserved class place is released. WightTricks may then offer that place to another student, including a student on a waiting list.

If a membership is downgraded, any regular class place no longer covered by the new membership level is released. WightTricks cannot hold a class place that is not covered by an active membership.

WightTricks will always aim to accommodate a returning student, but the same day, time or class cannot be guaranteed after a place has been released. Re-entry is subject to current suitability, capacity and any waiting list.

Any unused replacement sessions expire when the membership ends and do not convert into a refund or account credit.

7. Payments & accounts

Membership fees must be paid using the payment method made available by WightTricks as part of the membership process.

The account holder is responsible for maintaining a valid payment arrangement and ensuring that amounts properly due under the membership are paid.

Where a payment fails or remains outstanding, WightTricks may contact the account holder and may temporarily restrict attendance or membership access while the account is brought up to date, provided WightTricks acts reasonably and consistently with the account holder's statutory rights.

If WightTricks changes its standard membership prices in future, members will be given reasonable advance notice before the new price takes effect.

8. Refunds & non-attendance

Membership fees are not refundable simply because a student misses a scheduled class, chooses not to attend, is away on holiday, or does not use an available replacement session.

The five scheduled annual closure weeks are already built into the annual programme and payment structure and therefore do not create a refund or replacement entitlement.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or restricts any refund, cancellation right or other remedy that the customer is entitled to under applicable UK consumer law. Where a statutory cooling-off or cancellation right applies to a membership purchased online or at a distance, that legal right remains unaffected.

9. Programme, timetable & staffing changes

WightTricks may make reasonable operational changes to coaches, groupings, class content, equipment use or timetable arrangements where required for safety, staffing, athlete development, capacity or the effective operation of the academy.

WightTricks will communicate significant changes affecting a member's regular training arrangement and will act reasonably in seeking an appropriate solution where needed.

Membership provides access to the WightTricks programme rather than a contractual entitlement to be coached by a particular named member of staff.

10. Performance membership

Performance membership is available only to athletes approved for the Competition Team / Talent Group pathway.

The membership permits up to four approved training days per week. Competition Team and Talent Group pathway sessions count within this allowance.

Performance access is subject to coaching approval, athlete suitability, behaviour, training commitment, pathway requirements and available capacity. Being on Performance membership does not guarantee access to every session or competition.

Competition entry fees, travel, accommodation, private lessons, camps, merchandise and other separately advertised costs are not included unless expressly stated.

11. Conduct & related academy policies

Members, students and account holders are expected to follow the academy's published safety, conduct, safeguarding and operational policies.

WightTricks may take reasonable action where a student or account holder seriously or repeatedly breaches academy rules, creates a safety risk, or behaves in a way that materially disrupts the academy. Depending on the circumstances, this may include warnings, restrictions or ending membership.

Any action taken under this section will be considered in light of the circumstances and will not remove rights the customer has under applicable law.

12. Acceptance of these terms

These Membership Terms & Conditions form part of the agreement for WightTricks Academy membership. The current version is made available to the account holder before they complete registration or accept updated terms.
